Building Champions in Class. Building Champions in Life.
Today’s world is becoming increasingly more challenging for kids and teens. Between school stressors, peer pressure, and social anxieties many kids and teens struggle to advance to their full potential. Studying martial arts helps kids learn how to overcome their problems and learn important lessons—the kind of lessons that will follow them to the home, the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.
Here at Helena ATA, we work to provide a physical outlet for their energy, a safe and encouraging learning environment, and an opportunity to grow into the best version of themselves. The Juniors program at Helena ATA was created exclusively for children ages 7 through 14. From self-defense to challenging workouts, this high-paced program keeps students motivated while helping them build valuable life skills.
During our Juniors classes, we not only focus on training the body but also the mind. We work to reinforce core values such as respect, courtesy, discipline, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others reflects on them as people and directly affects their ability to achieve their own goals. We also practice setting and achieving goals in the short-term and long-term.
Kids and teens, in particular, often take the easy way out of problems when they can. But by pushing students out of their comfort zones and asking them to confront regular challenges through martial arts practices, they become more confident and better equipped to face any hurtle that gets thrown their way in any area of their life.
